Dame N'Doye praises Hull City character following win over Crystal Palace

Hull City striker Dame N'Doye believes that his team showed "character" to beat Crystal Palace 2-0.

Hull City striker Dame N'Doye has praised the team for showing the "character" to beat Crystal Palace.

N'Doye scored twice for the Tigers at Selhurst Park on Saturday as they moved out of the Premier League drop zone with a 2-0 win.

The January signing from Lokomotiv Moscow is happy that Hull's persistence paid off against Palace following a positive performance in South London.

"We knew we needed the three points on Saturday because we are not in a good position in the table," he told the club's official website. "We had to take our chance on Saturday because we want to stay in the top league.

"We were unlucky in our last game against Southampton where we passed the ball well and had chances but ended up losing. So we were looking forward to playing Crystal Palace and I thought we showed our character and a performance to get a win.

"We couldn't relax after scoring the first goal. We had to keep our focus and concentration because in England, a game can change very quickly. We had to keep going until the end and then we got a second."

Hull continue their fight for Premier League survival on Tuesday night when they welcome Liverpool to the KC Stadium.
