Derby County have opened up a two-goal cushion over Middlesbrough at the half-time interval.
The hosts started on the front foot and went ahead when Michael Jacobs tucked home Ben Davies's low free kick in the 19th minute.
Davies came close to doubling Derby's advantage in the 40th minute, only to see his free kick whistle just over the crossbar.
However, it was made 2-0 just moments later thanks to Jeff Hendrick, who found the net from 20 yards out.
