Ashley Cole is set for a backroom role with Everton, according to a report.
The former England international could be about to reunite with his old Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard, who was officially confirmed as the manager of the football club earlier today.
The new Everton boss is busy bringing his backroom staff together at the moment, having brought Joe Edwards from Chelsea, while he has reportedly asked Duncan Ferguson to stay at Goodison Park in some capacity.
According to the Evening Standard, Cole is also set to be part of his coaching team, with the former left-back being one of the first names on Lampard's list when he first put it together.
The opportunity would allow Cole the chance to develop, as he is hoping to break into management himself, with the 41-year-old currently working within Chelsea's academy, while he is also an assistant coach for England Under-21s.
It is also expected that Paul Clement is going to take on the role of assistant manager for the Toffees, working closely with Lampard.
