Everton are reportedly working to sign Tottenham Hotspur attacker Dele Alli on a permanent deal.
The 25-year-old's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, with Spurs seemingly prepared to let him leave before the January transfer window closes for business.
Much of the talk surrounding Alli has been over a potential loan exit, but according to The Telegraph journalist Matt Law, Everton want to sign the Englishman on a permanent deal.
Law claims that new Toffees head coach Frank Lampard has 'recommended' the Spurs midfielder to the board at Goodison Park following his arrival.
Alli has scored twice and registered one assist in 18 appearances for Tottenham during the 2021-22 campaign, including one goal in 10 Premier League outings.
Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Burnley are also among the clubs to be credited with an interest in the attacker during the January transfer window.
