Gent striker Mamadou Sylla has revealed that his former teammate Henry Onyekuru is keen to join up with Everton.
The 20-year-old signed for the Toffees from Eupen in the summer, but was immediately sent on loan to Anderlecht due to ineligibility for a work permit.
Since moving to the Belgian club, Onyekuru has scored six goals in 15 appearances in all competitions, which is just one fewer than Everton have scored in the Premier League all season.
"Henry has many qualities, which he has already shown in his first campaign in the first division," Sylla told DH. "At Anderlecht, his playing time and his ability to adapt to their games do not surprise me.
"A club and a level where he will still be able to progress, with the goal he has in mind to join Everton quickly to discover the Premier League."
Onyekuru scored 22 goals for Eupen last season.
