Team News: Jermain Defoe starts for Sunderland at Fulham

Jermain Defoe starts for Sunderland against Fulham in their FA Cup fourth-round replay at Craven Cottage.

Jermain Defoe has been named in the Sunderland starting lineup for tonight's FA Cup fourth-round replay against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

While the striker keeps his place following last weekend's 2-0 win over Burnley in the Premier League, manager Gus Poyet has made three changes to his side.

Vito Mannone replaces Costel Pantilimon in goal, while Ricky Alvarez and Emanuele Giaccherini also start for the Black Cats.

Wes Brown, Steven Fletcher and Sebastian Coates are among the substitutes for Sunderland, who were held to a goalless draw by Fulham at the Stadium of Light last month.

Fulham boss Kit Symons has also made three changes this evening after seeing his side lose to Blackburn Rovers last weekend, with Jack Grimmer, Alexander Kacaniklic and Seko Fofana all starting.

Fulham: Bettinelli; Grimmer, Hutchinson, Bodurov, Stafylidis; Fofana, Tunnicliffe, Kacaniklic; McCormack, Rodallega, Woodrow
Subs: Kiraly, Zverotic, Burn, Williams, Christensen, Roberts, Dembele

Sunderland: Mannone; Reveillere, van Aanholt, Vergini, O'Shea; Bridcutt, Gomez, Alvarez, Giaccherini, Wickham; Defoe
Subs: Pantilimon, Brown, Fletcher, Graham, Coates, Agnew
