Gary Medel ruled out for Inter Milan

Inter Milan midfielder Gary Medel is to miss Thursday's Europa League encounter with Saint-Etienne due to a calf injury.

Inter Milan midfielder Gary Medel has been ruled out of Thursday's Europa League encounter with Saint-Etienne through injury.

The Chile international is suffering with a bruised calf muscle that he picked up in a recent training session.

Medel has made eight appearances in all competitions for Inter this season following his summer move from Cardiff City.

Meanwhile, Daniel Osvaldo, Danilo D'Ambrosio, Jonathan and Hugo Campagnaro are also missing for the Italians, who are at home for their clash with Saint-Etienne.

Inter are currently at the top of Group F with two wins from their opening two matches of the competition.
