Massimiliano Allegri: Juventus "showed maturity" in Palermo win

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri praises the 'mature' way that his side played in beating Palermo.

Massimiliano Allegri has hailed his Juventus players for the mature performance that they produced in winning away at Palermo last night.

The Old Lady recorded a 1-0 victory at the Stadio Renzo Barbera courtesy of a second-half strike from Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.

It is a result that has moved Juve 14 points clear of Roma at the top of the Serie A standings with 11 matches left to play this season.

"We performed well this evening, showed maturity and barely gave Palermo an inch," Allegri told the club's official website.

"We could have done better after we had taken the lead, but a bit of tiredness crept in. We've kept back-to-back clean sheets and tonight's is one less victory that's required for the title."

The Italian champions have not lost any of their last 18 league encounters.
