Half-Time Report: Leicester City level with Bournemouth

Bournemouth are level with leaders Leicester City at half time in the Championship.

Leicester City's quest for a ninth straight win has been frustrated so far by Bournemouth, but the Foxes have had chances to edge in front in the first half.

Eddie Howe's side showed that they were confident of competing with their visitors and went close to taking the lead with Eunan O'Kane finding Andrew Surman, only for the midfielder to hit his shot over Kasper Schmeichel's goal.

However, Nigel Pearson's men began to settle into their stride and started to probe the Cherries defence, with Marcin Wasilewski, Lloyd Dyer and Danny Drinkwater having their efforts on goal blocked.

The Foxes began to go through the gears, and Jamie Vardy went close to finding an opener when he brought a fine save out of Lee Camp.

Camp was being kept busy in the Bournemouth goal as he needed to be on hand to stop efforts from Dyer and David Nugent, as the hosts found their backs to the wall.

Bournemouth hung in the game and could have edged in front just after the half-hour mark when Tommy Elphick rose to meet an Ian Harte cross, but his header drifted wide of Schmiechel's post.
