Lille started the game in a positive fashion as Jonathan Delaplace found space to fire a shot just wide of the Reims goal having been picked out by Sofiane Boufal.
The home side found the opening goal after 18 minutes when Corchia whipped home a free kick with his right foot into the bottom corner of the Reims goal.
Lille might have found themselves 2-0 ahead before half time when Gregory Bourillon brought down Boufal inside the box, but Origi saw his penalty saved by Kossi Agassa.
The miss was not to matter too much, however, given that Origi returned straight after the interval to double Lille's advantage, bundling in from close range following a free kick.
Despite being two behind, Reims were not done yet and Nicolas de Preville gave the visitors a lifeline after he produced the game's second standout free kick to beat Vincent Enyeama in the Lille net.
With Reims starting to push forward for the equaliser, Lille capitalised on the space available to put the game to bed, with Nolan Roux grabbing a third for the hosts in the 72nd minute to leave the final score at 3-1.
