It remains goalless at the halfway mark of this afternoon's FA Cup quarter-final between Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers, with the Championship visitors having the best of the chances at Anfield.
It was a confident, fast-paced start from Liverpool, but their early momentum was quickly halted when centre-back Martin Skrtel suffered a concussion after an aerial challenge with Rudy Gestede.

It took around seven minutes for the Slovakian to be stretchered off by paramedics and Blackburn almost took a shock lead soon after the resumption when Gestede got up at the back post and headed wide.
Liverpool wanted a penalty in the 19th minute when Matthew Kilgallon challenged Adam Lallana, but referee Andre Marriner felt that the former had made contact with the ball.
Shortly after the half-hour mark, Blackburn had the clearest sight of goal in the first half when a well-worked passing move ended at the feet of Craig Conway, whose first-time shot rose high and wide.

Kolo Toure had been the man to replace Skrtel and he had the ball in the back of the net at the other end, but it was ruled out for offside.
The remainder of the half went by with few clear-cut openings until the sixth minute of eight added brought about Simon Eastwood's first real save in the Blackburn goal as he beat away Daniel Sturridge's fierce effort.
