Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has heaped praise on strike partners Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie after their performances in the win over CFR Cluj.
United came from behind to beat Cluj 2-1 thanks to a Van Persie brace, with both goals being assisted by the England striker.
The duo were named in the same starting lineup for the first time since the Dutchman's arrival from Arsenal in the summer, and Ferguson insists that they can be deadly together.
"The second goal was fantastic. It was a great ball from Wayne," said Ferguson. "I thought he had hit it too far in front of him. But the speed to get to the ball and his deftness of touch were fantastic.
"The best quality both of them have is that they can turn a game.
"That is an important feature. It doesn't really matter if they have a personal combination, it is their ability to finish moves off, whether it is through [Tom] Cleverley, Nani or [Antonio] Valencia. We have a pair of really top players who can finish and change a game."
United have now won both their opening Champions League group matches.
