Manchester United are leading Cardiff City 2-1 after the first 45 minutes of their Premier League match this afternoon.
Cardiff had the first chance of the half when Jordon Mutch delivered a dangerous ball into the middle that David de Gea had to be alert to claim under pressure from Fraizer Campbell.

Wayne Rooney was then lucky to stay on the pitch after he kicked out at Mutch, but the referee decided that his challenge only warranted a yellow card.
In the 15th minute of the match, Rooney gave the visitors the lead. The striker was allowed space to turn inside the box, before firing in a low strike that took a deflection of Gary Medel and looped over goalkeeper David Marshall.
United came close to scoring a second through Patrice Evra, but the keeper was alert to beat away the defender's headed effort.

The home side levelled the score just past the half-hour mark. Mutch slid through an inch perfect pass to Campbell, with the striker making no mistake to calmly finish past De Gea.
With the game looking like it would finish level going into the break, United took the lead. Evra found himself unmarked in the middle and rose highest to head home Rooney's corner.
