Harry Maguire has been named on the bench for Manchester United's Europa League contest with Sheriff Tiraspol at Old Trafford.

The 29-year-old has only made five appearances for the Red Devils this season, with just three of those coming in the Premier League.

Maguire lost his spot in the starting XI after a difficult start to the campaign, but he has been unavailable for selection since September due to a hamstring problem.

Victor Lindelof is given the nod alongside Lisandro Martinez in the middle of the defence, with Raphael Varane out of action for the Red Devils until after the World Cup due to a hamstring problem.

Maguire's return has come at an important time for Man United, while he could now receive a run of matches ahead of the World Cup, with the centre-back still widely expected to be named in the England squad despite his struggles over the last 12 months.

Donny van de Beek is also back in the Man United squad after recovering from a muscular issue, with the Dutchman bidding to make just his fourth appearance of the campaign.

However, there is no Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the 20-time English champions despite the right-back returning to training following an injury problem.
