Team News: David de Gea returns to Manchester United team against Barcelona

David de Gea starts for Manchester United against Barcelona tonight, while the La Liga side pick Pedro in attack.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has been handed his first start of pre-season against Barcelona today.

The Spaniard has been kept out of United's first two games by injury, while media reports continue to link him with a move to Real Madrid.

However, he starts this game in a strong United side, which also includes Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Michael Carrick.

Louis van Gaal has handed starts to three of his new signings as Matteo Darmian, Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay are all named on the team sheet.

Meanwhile, Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has selected Pedro to play in attack, along with Luis Suarez.

The winger is reportedly a transfer target for United but he starts against them tonight, alongside Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique.

Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Adriano, Vermaelen, Pique, Alba; Busquets, Roberto, Rafinha; Iniesta, Pedro, Suarez.

Manchester United: De Gea; Darmian, Jones, Blind, Shaw; Carrick, Schneiderlin; Mata, Memphis, Young; Rooney.
