Manchester United have confirmed that goalkeeper Victor Valdes has joined Belgian side Standard Liege on loan for the rest of the season.
The 34-year-old has made just two appearances for the Red Devils since arriving from Barcelona a year ago, featuring in a 1-1 home draw with Arsenal and a goalless visit to relegated Hull City in the final two games of last season.
Manager Louis van Gaal made the Spaniard available for transfer at the start of the season after he reportedly refused to play in a reserve game and was not given a squad number.
Valdes is the fourth keeper to leave Old Trafford on loan this month following the exits of Sam Johnstone, Dean Henderson and Kieran O'Hara.
