Lille have secured a narrow 1-0 win over 10-man Nantes in Ligue 1 this evening.
Saloman Kalou came close to opening the scoring in the 25th minute, carving out a chance by beating two defenders on the edge of the box before scuffing a shot towards Remy Riou, who made a comfortable save.
Kalou continued to stretch the home side's defence as he looked to set up Nolan Roux, who struck it first time, narrowly missing the target.
However, the striker was able to break the deadlock just before the break, as another low cross in dropped to Roux for an simple tap in.
The visitors pushed to double their lead early in the second half, but a strong spell from Nantes almost allowed Serge Gakpe to level the scores just before the hour mark, but his header was straight at Vincent Enyeama.
The Lille keeper had to make another save inside the final 10 minutes, just denying Papy Djilobodji with his feet.
The defender was sent off two minutes later for his second booking, having brought down Kalou with a challenge from behind, leaving the hosts a man short for the last seven minutes, allowing the visitors to hold on for the win.
