Reports claim that Mick McCarthy will hold talks with Nottingham Forest's new owners over their managerial vacancy on Monday.

Mick McCarthy will reportedly hold talks with Nottingham Forest over the club's managerial vacancy on Monday.

The Tricky Trees are seeking a new boss following the decision of the new owners to sack Steve Cotterill.

The Al-Hasawi family have since confirmed that they are looking to appoint an "iconic" manager, with discussions expected to get underway with potential bosses this weekend.

McCarthy is high on their wishlist and the former Wolves boss is keen to hear what the Kuwaiti owners have to say, according to Sky Sports News.

The 53-year-old was among five contenders that Sports Mole assessed earlier today.
