Michel targets Juventus scalp

Olympiacos manager Michel says that he wants his side to repeat their victory against Juventus when the two clubs meet in Turin this week.

Olympiacos manager Michel has said that he is confident his side can beat Juventus in their Champions League Group A match on Tuesday evening.

The Greek champions claimed a 1-0 victory when the two sides met in Athens last month and Michel has insisted that they can repeat that result in Turin.

"If we think back to that game then I believe that for the whole match we played very well, against a tough and strong opponent," he told reporters. "This gives us the desire to repeat the result tomorrow, and we will always try to give more than we did in the first leg.

"We do not think about the [23] consecutive wins for Juventus at home, we cannot think about that. We do not believe the numbers. I return to the question asked to [David] Fuster, certainly it is a vital game for Juventus, for us it is not so.

"We want to do our best, we hope for the best possible result and we will push for the best possible result."

Olympiacos are currently top of Group A with six points.
