Preview: Athletic Bilbao vs. Real Madrid

Sports Mole looks ahead to Real Madrid's trip to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.

Real Madrid will be looking to pick up a sixth consecutive league win when they travel to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday evening.

Carlo Ancelotti's side currently sit third in La Liga, one point adrift of joint-leaders Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

The hosts have won their last three league matches, the latest coming against Osasuna last Sunday.

However, they were knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the Copa del Rey in midweek by Atletico Madrid.

Real progressed to the semi-finals of the same competition on Tuesday when they beat Espanyol 1-0.

Bilbao manager Ernesto Valverde could decide to make changes to his side, with Ibai Gomez in line to start.

Ancelotti is expected to recall Diego Lopez in goal for the visitors, while Marcelo, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale could also return to the side.
