Alan Dzagoev urges Russian fans to behave

Alan Dzagoev asks Russian fans to behave themselves to avoid further UEFA sanctions.

Alan Dzagoev has urged Russian fans to behave in the right way to avoid further punishment from UEFA.

Russia received a suspended six-point deduction from Euro 2016 qualifying and the Russian Football Union was fined €120,000 (£96,000) following crowd disturbances after the side's opening 4-1 win over the Czech Republic last week.

Dzagoev was quick to stress the importance of correct behaviour to ensure that his team's chances of appearing in future tournaments is not under threat.

"Of course we don't want six points being taken off us," said Dzagoev.

"The fans should be more restrained, so that their behaviour doesn't cause harm to the team."

Dzagoev's performances for Russia have been a highlight of Euro 2012 so far, the CSKA Moscow playmaker scoring three times in his opening two games.
