Aberdeen's Peter Pawlett ruled out of Latvia trip

Aberdeen will be without the services of the injured Peter Pawlett for the second leg of their Europa League meeting with Daugava Riga.

Aberdeen midfielder Peter Pawlett has been ruled out of the second leg of his side's Europa League first qualifying-round tie against Daugava Riga through injury.

The 23-year-old will miss the trip to Latvia to receive treatment on the ankle strain he picked up during the first leg at Pittodrie Stadium.

The Dons will also be without new signing David Goodwillie, who is ineligible for the match, and the injured Clark Robertson.

Aberdeen, who head into the match with a 5-0 advantage from the first leg, will face Dutch side FC Groningen in the next round unless the Latvians pull off an unlikely comeback.
