These two sides have locked horns on 223 occasions throughout history, and it is Inter that lead the head-to-head record, boasting 85 victories to Milan's 71, while there have also been 67 draws.

Inter have also scored the most goals in the Milan derby - 306 to Milan's 285 - but the outright leading goalscorer in fixtures between these two sides is a former Milan player, with Andriy Shevchenko finding the back of the net on 14 occasions during this particular match-up.

It would be fair to say that Inter have dominated their recent meetings, posting six straight wins, including 5-1 and 2-1 victories during the 2023-24 Serie A campaign.

These two sides locked horns in the semi-finals of the 2022-23 Champions League, meanwhile, with Inter running out 3-0 winners on aggregate to set up a final with Manchester City.

Inter also beat Milan in the Italian Super Cup final in January 2023, with Milan's last success in this fixture proving to be a 3-2 victory in a Serie A clash in September 2022.

Milan have only won two of their last 13 meetings, though, while they have beaten Inter only three times in all competitions since December 2017, which is an indication of the dominance the Black and Blues have enjoyed.

In Serie A, Inter have triumphed in the last there fixtures, but Milan were victorious in February 2022 and September 2022.

There have been 180 league meetings between the two sides, and again Inter lead the head-to-head record, winning 70 times to Milan's 54, while there have also been 56 draws.
