Silvio Berlusconi is reportedly considering selling some of his stake in AC Milan to help the club keep in line with UEFA's financial fair play rules.

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi is reportedly considering selling a 30% stake in the club to the Qatar Investment Authority.

Milan have struggled to adapt to UEFA's new financial fair play rules and were therefore forced to sell star assets Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva in big-money moves this summer.

The pair left the Italian giants to join free-spending Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain for a combined £50m fee.

Berlusconi is negotiating an investment of £202m from the Qatari consortium, which would fund either a new stadium or refurbishment to the San Siro, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The deal could also include a relationship between Berlusconi's media empire and the Qatari-run Al-Jazeera network.
