Neal Ardley calls for more consistency from AFC Wimbledon players

Neal Ardley wants to see his AFC Wimbledon squad produce a "consistent level of performance every week" in order to push for a League Two playoff spot.

AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley has urged his players to add some consistency to their game if they are to challenge for a playoff spot.

The Dons have yet to register back-to-back victories in League Two this term, winning three, losing three and drawing four of their opening 10 games.

This run of topsy-turvy form has left Wimbledon down in 16th place, but Ardley remains confident of a top-seven challenge ahead of this weekend's clash against Barnet.

"We are not a million miles away from doing good things," he is quoted as saying by Get West London. "The spirit is great, the fitness levels of the players are great and I think a lot of the performances have been very good.

"If you are going to get where we want to go and where we dream of being, it is going to be a consistent level of performance every week and not just because it's Barnet at home."

Wimbledon follow up Saturday's match with the Bees by travelling to Oxford United the following weekend.
