Half-Time Report: Nicky Law puts Rangers ahead at half time against Alloa Athletic

Nicky Law gives Rangers a 1-0 half-time lead at Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Championship.

Nicky Law's early goal has given Rangers a 1-0 half time lead away at Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Championship.

Alloa started the game strongly and almost scored after 10 minutes, but striker Liam Buchanan lobbed the ball wide when well placed.

The visitors made Alloa pay for missing that chance minutes later when Jon Daly set up Nicky Law to fire the ball in from six yards.

They came close to doubling their lead shortly after as Daly flicked a long ball through to Kenny Miller, but the veteran striker hit the post.

The early goal gave Rangers confidence and they continued to attack Alloa in search of a second, with David Templeton going close and Kenny Miller forcing the goalkeeper into a smart save at the near post.
