Gerardo Martino: 'Lionel Messi back for Panama clash'

Argentina boss Gerardo Martino reveals that Lionel Messi will return to action in Friday's Copa America clash against Panama.

Argentina boss Gerardo Martino has revealed that Lionel Messi will return to action in Friday's Copa America clash against Panama.

The Barcelona attacker missed his team's 2-1 win over Chile on Monday night after picking up a back problem in training, but will be fit to return for Argentina's second Group D match on Friday.

"Messi trained with the group and is going to play tomorrow. I see no reason to not include him," Martino told reporters.

Goals from Angel di Maria and Ever Banega saw Argentina overcome Chile on June 7.
