Tottenham Hotspur forward Clint Dempsey has admitted that he and his teammates can only worry about themselves in the race for Champions League qualification.
Spurs are one point behind fourth-place Arsenal as they look to finish in the top four and they know that they have to beat Sunderland at White Hart Lane to stand a chance of reaching European football's top competition.
Dempsey told the club's official website: "It's all about what we can control, making sure we get the three points and hoping everything falls into place. That's what our mindset is and that what we have to make sure we go out and accomplish.
"I'm sure Sunderland will be happy they are safe and perhaps sometimes playing without that pressure or fear of relegation will make you play better.
"It will be a tough game and we have to make sure we get the three points and take care of what we can take care of."
Dempsey has scored 12 goals for Spurs this season in 42 appearances in all competitions.
