Montpellier manager Rene Girard has insisted that his team will have a plan to deal with former striker Olivier Giroud in the Champions League.
Giroud's current club Arsenal welcome the French champions to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday and the £12m summer signing heads into the game on the back of five goals in five matches.
Girard said: "Olivier worked very hard for us and we almost sculpted him into the player he is today. We made history at the club and had great times.
"Unfortunately for us, he is rediscovering his best form and starting to score goals, but we have tactics to try to stop him.
"We know how good he is, but there are also lots of attacking threats here at Arsenal."
Giroud scored 21 goals for Montpellier last season.
