Arsene Wenger says that he is not happy after Arsenal failed to win Group B in the Champions League.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed his disappointment at finishing second in Group B of the Champions League.

Having led through Tomas Rosicky, the Gunners lost 2-1 at Olympiacos in their final group match on Tuesday, resulting in Schalke 04 topping the table.

The North London outfit had already qualified for the knockout stages of the competition, but Wenger is annoyed that his side failed to finish first.

"We have to wait for the draw but we wanted to finish first," said Wenger.

"We need a good Christmas present. Some teams can get stronger until then, including ourselves. It important for us to focus on the championship and get ourselves back in decent form.

"We're not happy with things tonight but I'm happy with the desire of the team."

Arsenal host West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.
