How Arsenal could line up against Napoli

Ahead of the Europa League quarter-final second leg between Napoli and Arsenal, Sports Mole looks at how the Gunners could line up.

Arsenal will be looking to build on their rare away win against Watford on Monday as they face Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie.

The Gunners had won just two of their last 12 away matches prior to Monday's much-needed 1-0 victory in Hertfordshire, which lifted them back into fourth place in the Premier League.

There is a quick turnaround in matches for Unai Emery as his team make the trip to Napoli on Thursday, aiming to protect a 2-0 lead from the first leg.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Emery could set out his side against the Serie A club.

Possible ARS XI vs. NAP

Out: Rob Holding (knee), Hector Bellerin (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle)
Doubtful: Lucas Torreira (groin)

Torreira left the field at half time against Watford with a groin injury, making Granit Xhaka's return to fitness all the more important.

Emery has not ruled Torreira out of Thursday's match, but it is unlikely that he will risk the Uruguayan midfielder if Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi are both available.

Alexandre Lacazette played no part against Watford and appears certain to return to the side against Napoli, though it remains to be seen whether he will be partnered with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or used as a lone striker.

Goals are not a priority for Arsenal in this second leg, so Emery is expected to go with one striker and pack out his midfield.

There was also a cameo appearance for Ainsley Maitland-Niles on Monday so he should return here, while Mesut Ozil and cup keeper Petr Cech are in line for recalls.
