Manchester City set new all-time winning record for English top-flight clubs

Manchester City's 3-1 win over Swansea City on Wednesday saw them set a record for the number of successive victories for an English top-flight club in all competitions.

Manchester City set a new record for successive domestic wins by an English top-flight club with their victory over Swansea City on Wednesday evening.

The Citizens were comfortable 3-1 winners at the Liberty Stadium to advance to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and make it 15 wins in a row in all competitions.

That surpasses the previous best of 14 on the spin set by Preston North End in 1891-92 and Arsenal in 1987-88.

City's incredible streak started on December 19 with a 1-0 win over Southampton in the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola's men have scored 40 goals and conceded just six across those 15 matches, spread across the Premier League, FA Cup and EFL Cup.

Next up for the league leaders is the visit of Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
