Preview: Arsenal vs. Coventry City

Sports Mole looks ahead to the FA Cup tie between Arsenal and Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal supporters will not need reminding that the FA Cup is the last trophy that their side won back in 2005.

They may currently top the Premier League table and still remain in the Champions League, but with Manchester City and Chelsea finding form and Bayern Munich to come in Europe, English football's biggest cup competition could represent their best chance of ending their nine-year drought.

On Friday evening they are the big favourites to overcome League One side Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium in the fourth round.

With his team competing on three fronts, manager Arsene Wenger is likely to rotate his starting lineup. That could mean that the likes of Thomas Vermaelen, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Carl Jenkinson are all given a run-out.

Meanwhile, the visiting Sky Blues, who have scored 65 goals in all competitions this term, should have striker Leon Clarke available, providing that he doesn't switch clubs before the tie. The frontman has recently been linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

These two teams met in the League Cup last season, with Arsenal running out 6-1 winners.
