Theo Walcott's 10th goal of the season has sent Arsenal into the break level away at Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.
Hosting QPR began the stronger of the two sides at Loftus Road, with their first chance falling to Bobby Zamora. Adel Taarabt sent over a cross from deep, but England international Zamora was unable to keep his headed effort on target.
Mark Hughes's team continued to press for the opening goal and their domination was rewarded in the 22nd minute. Taarabt collected possession 35 yards from goal, before tricking his way past Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen and shooting past Wojciech Szczesny from distance.
The goal was the Moroccan's first in the Premier League and on his 100th appearance for the R's.
However, the home side's lead only lasted 15 minutes courtesy of Arsenal winger Walcott. Captain Robin van Persie picked out Walcott, who scored at the second attempt after his initial effort had struck the post.
Arsenal began to dominate after drawing level, but they were unable to take the lead before the break.
A point could lift QPR out of the relegation zone.
