Arsenal captain Robin van Persie will lead his side out at Loftus Road this afternoon, despite reports that he was going to be rested.

Robin van Persie has been handed a starting role in Arsenal's trip to Queens Park Rangers, despite reports that manager Arsene Wenger was ready to rest his captain.

The Dutch international will be supported by Theo Walcott, while Aaron Ramsey will continue in the centre of midfield.

Hosting QPR have partnered Jamie Mackie in attack with Bobby Zamora.

Joey Barton has also been recalled to the starting lineup following his recent inconsistent form.

QPR: Kenny; Taiwo, Hill, Ferdinand, Onuoha; Barton, Derry, Taarabt, Diakite; Mackie, Zamora

Arsenal: Szczesny; Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs; Song, Ramsey, Rosicky, Arteta, Walcott; Van Persie
