Arsenal hopeful Laurent Koscielny will return after next international break

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is hopeful that Laurent Koscielny will return to action from an Achilles injury after the next international break in November.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful that Laurent Koscielny will return to fitness after the next international break in November.

The defender has missed the Gunners' last two games after suffering an Achilles problem while on international duty with France last week.

While there is no set date for Koscielny's return, Wenger is expected to have the defender back in contention for the November 22 weekend.

"I cannot give you any date," Wenger told reporters. "I hope he will be available after the next international break."

This Saturday, Arsenal will take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
