Didier Drogba tips Arsenal to win Premier League title

Ex-Chelsea striker Didier Drogba claims that Arsenal can lift the Premier League title because they have old Blues teammate Petr Cech in their team.

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has claimed that Arsenal can win the Premier League title because they have his old Blues teammate Petr Cech in their side.

The pair won four Premier League titles together at Stamford Bridge between 2004 and 2014, in addition to four FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League.

Arsenal have not lifted the title since 2004, but Drogba, who left Chelsea for MLS side Montreal Impact in the summer, has suggested that they could end their decade-long wait for Premier League success this season.

When asked if he felt that the Gunners have enough strength in depth to finish top, the Ivorian told Sky Sports News: "They have got Petr Cech!

"I think Manchester City will be as strong as they have been in the last few years.

"Unfortunately Chelsea are too far [behind in the title race], so I will go for my friend Petr Cech at Arsenal."

Cech joined Arsenal from Chelsea during the summer after spending 10 years at Stamford Bridge.
