Cesc Fabregas insists that his education at Arsenal has helped him at Barcelona.

Cesc Fabregas has said that he uses much of what he learned at Arsenal to help him at Barcelona.

The Spaniard spent eight seasons in North London before returning to his boyhood club earlier this year. However, the 24-year-old insists that his experience in England continues to help him to this day.

"At Arsenal, I often supported Robin van Persie, now I'm doing the same with Lionel Messi and David Villa," he said in The Mirror.

"I learned so much at Arsenal and it is good to be able to use that experience in Spain.

"Matches like Sunday's 2-2 draw in Bilbao, where the surface was very wet, need the sort of strengths of the English game."

Barcelona are currently in second place in La Liga, three points adrift of leaders Real Madrid.
