Mesut Ozil has shown this season that he is a "top player", according to his Arsenal teammate Mathieu Flamini.
The German playmaker laid on both of the North Londoners' goals in last night's 2-1 win over Manchester City, which took his total of assists for the campaign to 15.
"I'm happy for him because he's a top guy on the pitch and off it as well," Flamini told reporters after the final whistle at the Emirates Stadium.
"We knew he was a top player and he's proving it every day. Everyone in the team is happy for him and we're pleased to have him on our side."
Ozil joined the Gunners from Real Madrid two years ago in a deal worth a reported £42.5m.
