Alexandre Lacazette has liked an Instagram post telling Granit Xhaka to "go f*ck himself" following Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the Emirates on Sunday.

The Gunners took an early 2-0 lead but were pegged back by the South London side through goals from Luka Milivojevic and Andre Ayew either side of half time.

However, the main flashpoint from the game came when Xhaka was substituted on 61 minutes to a chorus of jeers from the home support, prompting the captain to wave his arms in the air and swear at the crowd before ripping his shirt off and heading straight down the tunnel.

Taking to Instagram after the game, Lacazette liked a post by Arsenal supporter Troopz, who regularly appears on Arsenal Fan TV, which read: "Im sorry, I'm done with this now. You can't be 2-0 up at home to palace and draw. Emery I've backed you but bro, enough is enough. Xhaka can f*ck himself as well. Never wanna see him in an arsenal top again! #AFC #EmiratesStadium #TimesUp".

Manager Unai Emery refused to defend Xhaka's actions after the game, insisting that the Swiss midfielder had acted wrongly.

Xhaka, who moved to the Emirates in 2016, has endured a difficult relationship with the Gunners support, especially since being announced as captain over the summer.
