Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has reportedly emerged as a potential managerial target for Barcelona.
The Spaniard has endured a mixed 15 months in charge of the Gunners, combining winning the 2020 FA Cup with inconsistent performances in the Premier League.
However, according to Catalan Radio, Barcelona may be interested in the 38-year-old becoming their next manager.
The report suggests that Joan Laporta, who is a candidate in the presidential elections, will look to replace Ronald Koeman with the former midfielder.
Arteta spent the early part of his playing career at Camp Nou, making appearances for the Barcelona 'B' and 'C' teams before eventually signing for Rangers in 2002.
Laporta allegedly regards Arteta as the best alternative to club legend Xavi.
