Arsene Wenger admits that Arsenal's confidence is gone after their 4-3 defeat to Blackburn Rovers.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that the team is low on confidence after their shock 4-3 defeat to Blackburn.

The Gunners were ahead twice in the match but conceded two own goals through Alex Song and Laurent Koscielny as they succumbed to defeat at Ewood Park.

Arsenal have now conceded 12 goals in their last two away matches in the Premier League, following their 8-2 defeat to Manchester United two weeks ago.

"We had so many chances in the game and on top of that we scored two own goals so it is unbelievable to understand, but we have to take it on the chin," Wenger told BBC Sport.

"At the moment defensively we are fragile because our confidence is gone due to what happened at Old Trafford."

Arsenal are next in action in the third round of the League Cup on Wednesday as they host Shrewsbury at the Emirates.
