Arsene Wenger rues lack of attacking options

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger suggests that a lack of attacking options played a part in his side's North London derby draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that a lack of attacking options played a part in his side's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.

The Gunners were far from their best against their rivals on Sunday and needed a late Kieran Gibbs goal to salvage a point at the Emirates Stadium after Harry Kane had given Spurs the lead.

With the likes of Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey sidelined through injury, Wenger has said that he was glad to have taken a share of the spoils.

"I had very limited offensive options on the bench. Overall it worked," the Frenchman told the London Evening Standard.

"We have 10 players out. I hope during the international break we do not lose more, but we should get some back just after the break."

Arsenal face West Bromwich Albion when the Premier League resumes in a fortnight.
