Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking to end a 43-year streak when they face Premier League leaders Arsenal at Molineux on Saturday evening.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be attempting to end a 43-year streak when they play host to Arsenal on Saturday evening.

Ahead of Julen Lopetegui taking over as head coach, caretaker boss Steve Davis will be overseeing first-team matters for the eighth and final time.

Wolves head into the fixture with the Premier League leaders having lost four of their last six matches in the top flight, collecting just four points.

The West Midlands outfit will also start the game at the bottom of the standings if Nottingham Forest avoid defeat at home to Crystal Palace earlier in the day.

While Davis will be focused on trying to conclude his temporary spell on a high, ending a run which has lasted for over four decades is on offer with a clean sheet.

Wolves have not kept a shutout against the North London side in their last 29 meetings, a streak which started as far back as March 1979.

Since then, Wolves have been able to record four victories and five draws, but Arsenal have always found a way to find the back of the net.

Wolves will be attempting to end an unwarranted record when Arsenal remain as the only top-flight side to score in every fixture during 2022-23.

Mikel Arteta's side possess the second-best attacking record in the division, behind only Manchester City who have netted a total of 39 times in comparison to the frontrunners scoring on 31 occasions.

Although six teams have a worse defensive record than Wolves, as many as seven goals have been conceded in their last two home league fixtures against Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively.
