How Arsenal could line up against Chelsea

Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up in Tuesday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Arsenal will be looking to win in the Premier League for the first time since New Year's Day when they travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Tuesday night.

Saturday's 1-1 draw with Sheffield United has left the Gunners down in 10th position in the Premier League table, 10 points off fourth-placed Chelsea ahead of the London derby.

The Blues have won the last two meetings between the two sides, including a 4-1 victory in last season's Europa League final and a 2-1 success in the reverse Premier League match last month.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Mikel Arteta's side could line up at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal will again be without the services of Calum Chambers, Kieran Tierney and Reiss Nelson through injury, while the team's leading scorer this season Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is still suspended.

Neither Sead Kolasinac nor Sokratis Papastathopoulos were involved in the draw with Sheffield United, but the club are hopeful that the latter will recover from illness in time for the London derby.

Should Kolasinac fail to overcome a thigh issue then Bukayo Saka is likely to continue at left-back, while there are not expected to be too many changes further forward.

Indeed, Gabriel Martinelli's strike at the weekend could see the 18-year-old keep his spot down the left, while Nicolas Pepe and Alexandre Lacazette are both expected to feature.

Granit Xhaka should also keep his spot in the middle of the park with the Switzerland international back in favour since Arteta was officially named as Unai Emery's replacement.
