Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

Arsenal attacker Emile Smith Rowe has re-entered the treatment room ahead of the Gunners' Premier League showdown with Newcastle United at St James' Park on Saturday evening.

The 23-year-old missed Wednesday's 3-1 EFL Cup defeat to West Ham United owing to a knee injury, which Mikel Arteta has conceded will sideline him for a number of weeks.

Thomas Partey (muscle) and Gabriel Jesus (hamstring) have similar timeframes in their recoveries, while Jurrien Timber is still nursing his ACL problem and will spend many months on the sidelines.

Aaron Ramsdale could have felt hard done by at the London Stadium, as referee Simon Hooper failed to notice Tomas Soucek pulling his shirt for Ben White's own goal, and the Englishman will now cede his place in goal to David Raya.

White is sure to continue on the right-hand side, but Jakub Kiwior - who was one of Arsenal's better performers on the evening - will make way as William Saliba links arms with Gabriel Magalhaes once more.

However, Oleksandr Zinchenko has not covered himself in glory in recent matches, and Arteta may therefore give the nod to an in-form Takehiro Tomiyasu, who scored his first goal for the club against Sheffield United last weekend.

Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice will make welcome returns to the engine room, where the final spot could be occupied by Jorginho once more, while Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli will return to the final third either side of last week's hat-trick hero Eddie Nketiah.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu; Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli
