Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that Mohamed Salah is set to return to training from a foot injury ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has suggested that Mohamed Salah will be fit to take part in Wednesday's Premier League clash with Arsenal.

The attacker was taken off in the 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion with a foot injury and reportedly missed training on Monday, seemingly making him a major doubt for the Emirates Stadium trip.

However, Klopp was able to provide a positive update on Salah's condition in his pre-match press conference, with the Egyptian pushing to be involved in the clash with the Gunners.

"Mo is a tough cookie, we were quite happy and lucky with it. Little bit less swollen and painful yesterday and I got the message before the press conference that Mo is ready to train, and we will see how it looks," Klopp told reporters.

The Reds have also welcomed Ibrahima Konate back to training following a knock and could therefore travel to the Emirates without any injury concerns as they aim to close the gap on leaders Manchester City to just one point.

Salah struck his 20th goal of the league season from the penalty spot against Brighton and has 12 goal contributions (eight goals and four assists) from 12 previous meetings with Arsenal.
