Arsenal are reportedly preparing a surprise swoop for Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart amid concerns over Bernd Leno's injury layoff.
The German shot-stopper was forced off on a stretcher in Arsenal's 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday following a collision with Seagulls striker Neal Maupay.
Leno's injury leaves Emiliano Martinez and Matt Macey as Mikel Arteta's options between the sticks, and there are fears among the Arsenal camp that Leno could be out of action until 2021.
Following the news that Hart will not be extending his contract with Burnley beyond June 30, The Express suggests that Arsenal could take a gamble on the 33-year-old.
The Gunners are set to be severely financially-restricted heading into the summer transfer window, and the report claims that Hart would represent an ideal free signing for the North London outfit.
Hart has not made a single Premier League appearance for Burnley this term, but the Englishman has turned out in the FA Cup and EFL Cup for Sean Dyche's side.
