Arsenal could miss out on Layvin Kurzawa as Paris Saint-Germain want to renew the defender's contract, according to a report.

Paris Saint-Germain could reportedly yet renew Layvin Kurzawa's contract in the French capital.

The left-back will see his current deal expire at the end of June, and a number of clubs - including Barcelona, Liverpool and Sevilla - have been credited with an interest in his services.

Arsenal are believed to lead the race for the France international, and a recent report claimed that the Gunners were on the verge of completing a deal.

However, according to Foot Mercato, PSG sporting director Leonardo is putting plans together to offer the defender an extension in the coming weeks.

The report claims that the French champions are keen to keep Kurzawa as cover for Juan Bernat, although it remains to be seen whether the 27-year-old wants to stay at the club as a back-up.

The defender has made made 23 appearances for PSG during the current season.
