Arsenal are determined to land Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly determined to sign Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez this summer.

The 29-year-old has only made 14 appearances for Los Blancos this season and is believed to be on his way out of the club ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

Atletico Madrid were thought to be at the head of the queue for the Colombia international, but according to AS, Arsenal are currently the side showing the strongest interest.

The report claims that the Gunners are 'desperate' to bring the experienced attacker to the Emirates Stadium in time for the 2020-21 campaign.

Rodriguez only featured once for Madrid in La Liga after the lockdown period, while he was left out of the squad that travelled to face Manchester City in the Champions League on Friday night.

The South American's existing deal at the Bernabeu is due to expire in June 2021.
